STEWART, Justice: Defendant appeals from his conviction upon a plea of guilty of burglary in violation of § 76-6-202. Defendant was sentenced to a term of one to fifteen years in the Utah State Prison. On appeal defendant contends that the trial court erred in considering defendants juvenile court record at the time of sentencing and abused its discretion in refusing to place defendant on probation, at least in part because of his prior juvenile court record. Defendant further contends that the court erred in failing to comply with § 77-35-9, which provides as follows:
